David Good
M.Ost, BAppSc(HB) Reg.Osteopath, MONZ
David graduated from Auckland’s Unitec with a Masters in Osteopathy in 2019 and has treated a broad range of patients in Auckland and the far North. He then moved south, starting work at City Osteopaths in 2024.
With years of training and a passion for martial arts, David has developed a deep understanding of how the human body moves, which guides his gentle yet effective approach to treatment.
David's treatment philosophy revolves around the belief that every individual is unique, and the most effective outcomes are achieved through a collaborative and compassionate partnership between himself and the client. He takes the time to listen closely to his clients needs and concerns, tailoring the treatment accordingly to ensure best results without unnecessary pain or discomfort. Having worked with regional and provincial rugby and football teams, David has hands-on experience in treating acute sports injuries commonly seen in active individuals like athletes and adolescents.
David also has experience treating people with more complex health needs such as chronic pain and auto-immune disorders, and enjoys helping patients build strategies to better manage and mitigate discomfort.
David provides relief by employing a combination of gentle yet effective techniques such as soft tissue and joint manipulation, as well as more subtle and indirect methods, all aimed at restoring balance and mobility. His ultimate goal is to see patients return to the activities they love without pain holding them back.
When not working, David will likely be planning his next kayak fishing or diving adventure, curating a setlist for an upcoming radio show or DJ slot, or honing his martial arts skills in the training hall. He also very much enjoys spending quality time with his partner and young family.
